MAX KONIDAS-XIXIS

Max Konidas-Xixis is a 23-year-old self taught designer from Edmonton, Alberta who began their career just under a year ago following a string of personal events. Max uses fashion as a creative outlet to express the horrors and nuances of the human experience into wearable art.

 

Drawing niche influences and inspirations from various media and concepts such as the Theatre of Cruelty as well as the search for freedom and control, Max aspires to create pieces and collections which presents themself to audiences in a manner which seeks to disrespect the delicate ecology of our delusions, while also encouraging audiences to do the same through unashamed humanity and the overwhelming of senses.

 

This is accomplished through the intentional use of unconventional fabrics, which is the core of their brand. ISX, stemming from the Greek word “ησυχία” (pronounced is-i-hia), meaning “stillness/quiet/tranquility” is intentionally ironic, as stated by the tagline, “stillness, disturbed.”
